When you Google the word faith you get a description that says faith is a feeling of loyalty, trust, or allegiance to a person or duty. The dictionary definitions are 1, complete trust or confidence in someone or something and 2, strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. Humm makes you think about it a little bit doesn’t it? If you look up faith in the Bible it doesn’t sound like we are in the fiction movies or books. In Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” In Romans 10:17 “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Lastly, Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” Faith is a gift from God, something that we get when we accept him and give our lives to him. Yes it is still from things unseen but these things become seen in our lives when we believe that he gives us the things we ask for.

Living in a world with so many uncertainties its easy to not be able to see God’s promises. There are more than 177 promises in the Bible, 235 promises from God to be exact. That’s almost an entire year of promises! Is there anyone that has promised you 235 things and kept their promises? God keeps every single one of his promises! All you have to do is have faith and give your life to Christ.
